The Zagreb Technical Museum is a weird and wonderful place where I am sure you will find things you didnt expect to see. I did! http://www.tehnicki-muzej.hr/en/povijest.htm

Firstly, its the size of the thing. Separated into 7 parts: Agriculture, Transportation, Energy, Astronautics, Geology, Fire and Great Men, there are thousands of things to see and some very interesting things to do.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles!

We had so much fun being taken on a tour of a mock-up of a mine. Constructed about 2 floors underneath the museums floors, a guide takes you on a tour through mineshafts and their progressions along a 300metre walk. Really interesting stuff.

Another tour which we didnt get the chance to see was the "Planetarium", but there's always next time. You could spend a whoile day here and not see everything on display. As it was we managed to get through the "Fire", "Transportation" & "Aeronautics" displays and this alone took up around 3hours of our visit time. For around $5AUD/person its ver good value & great for kids!
