Four Days in Forest

Taman Negara – They say that it is world's oldest tropical rainforest; I’m not sure how true it is but yes I do agree with others that it is indeed very beautiful, a heaven to spend your time in tranquility.

The resort – Mutiara Taman Negara is on the banks of Tembeling and Taihan rivers on two sides and deep deep jungle on the third. Wow…!!! I would say a great place to relax.

We landed @KL airport on 26th morning, feeling little tired after having travelled all the way from Pune to Mumbai and then to KL. After completing the custom formalities, we hopped in our hired car. On the way we crossed KL city, saw Petronas (Twin) Towers from distance. It was a wonderful view. It took us almost 4 hours, by road, to reach the resort. Tell you the roads are extremely good and the scenery beautiful.

Frankly speaking after looking at the place I was bit disappointed, wondering whether I had taken a wise decision in coming down to Taman instead of opting for Genting Highlands, like other people do. It is a very small town with very basic amenities. Our hotel was on other side of river. Well nothing could have been done now. Once we stood in front of the reception. and looked around, all my fear vanished. The restaurant, the resort, the huts, everything looked beautiful. It was so peaceful and quite.
