Today we drove to Spain via the edges of the mountains. The views again were something else.

On arriving in Barcelona we did a brief driving tour seeing the old Olypic site and the massive Sangrada Familia church designed by Guadii. After this we went for a walk throught the La Ramba and stopped to sample some Sangria...yum!

No expectations but left an impression

The next day we walked up to the Sangrada Familia to look inside. As many have said he was brilliant or mad....I think a bit of both. It is really something to behold and it is not even finished. It was started in the 1880's and is due to be completed in 2020.

After this we went up to look at the Parc Guell to look at some more of his work and view the city from the look out. This was also well worth the effort despite the large up hill walk to get there.

By this stage we were straving and headed back to the city for Tappas which are traditional Spanish bar snacks ranging from olives to squid.

That night we went to a Flaminco show and watch the dancing. Afterwards we heading back to town for dinner of Pallea which is rice and what ever meat or vegtables you like.

At the beginning Barcelona we had no expectations but it left an impression.
