It’s Saturday night, and I ain't goin to bed. Going say up late and write a blog instead (reminiscent of Peter Coomes – remember those great tunes! Lol)

Seen as though its been something ridiculous, like 3 weeks or something (maybe even more :os) since I have ‘blogged’ so to speak, I am going to ignore my tiredness and give u a brief catch-up on the events of the past few weeks or whatever… actually I just checked, its been about 6 weeks… I think. So hopefully I remember the important/fun/exciting/blog worthy bits.

I’ve been sooooooooooooo busy with work...

Firstly, and most importantly for living in London, I have a full-time and permanent (within the first 30 secs at this temp job I was told he would love it if, I could stay for the duration of my visa). I’m working as ‘team support’ for a recruitment agency called Creative Personnel. It’s pretty cool – the people are really nice & funny too :o) it’s easy to get to, on a reliable tube line (so I don’t have to allow heaps of time ‘just in case’ there are ‘delays’ on a tube line). The pays pretty good, I like the directors and I can wear smart casual – jeans, collared shirt or nice pants/top, which is great bc I don’t have to go buy suits etc and I can be my usual randomly funky self lol.

Admittedly I was hating it the first few weeks, bc I all I did for 9 hours was sit and format CVs that had to be sent off. But now that there’s another temp girl and I can do other admin work – im really liking it (and I get to be in charge of ‘support’ and train newbies when they start and boss them around hehe – u know I love it ;o) so happy with my job.

Btw – didn’t get the job at Buckingham Palace but that means I can travel over summer!!! – I’ll have to ask for time off work or maybe leave (but I think I’ll work for a year then travel when I’ve saved and don’t have a lease). Also, as u would know by now caroliney gets here in 2 1/2 weeks!!!! so if we travel next year we’ll both have time to save.

I’ve been sooooooooooooo busy with work (9am-7ish pm for 2 weeks) and just little things like coming home and cooking or whatever that I’ll give u a quick overview of what I can remember has happened.

I’ve made my house a home. Well, my room a funky and cosy little nook of the house. And tonight I cant wait to sleep on my new mattress bc I swapped it with the room next to me – Janaya moved out yesterday and a new girl moves in tomorrow. The ‘mattress’ if u could call it that had springs poking out everywhere and I had to perfect the right angle to lie on to get sleep.

Omgosh before I forget – of all the people to see over here… Lucy Milan! Seriously… I thought it was her ,and when I realised it was I chose to ignore her – as I expected she would do the same. Instead she came over and chatted to me – was sooo not expecting that. She was being really friendly I thought we’d exchange numbers and have coffee or something (which was ok with me bc its another person to talk to). But as quickly as she said hi, she got of the tube and left.

& as I was walking out of the station I heard someone busking – I didn’t see who it was but it sure did sound like james blunt! Which wouldn’t surprise me bc the lead singer from Travis was busking outside HMV the other day.

EASTER WEEKEND Fri 6th – Sun 8th April

I finished my last temp job the weds b4 Easter.

Friday we went tout to Wagamama for lunch then shopped on Kensington High St in Notting Hill. Trish left us to go on a blind date, which didn’t turn out so hot. On the way home Nat & I ended up in Chelsea bc we got the right numbered bus, on the wrong side of the road. That was a hilariously entertaining evening!

For Easter, we thought about going away but Trish (my cuz) and I were too poor so stayed home. The Saturday we went to Putney to watch THE boat race with Nat – along the River Themes but got there too late and missed it. We went to a few pubs, the met up with Nat’s friends who we’re really funny and REALLY tall – 6”2 upwards (funny pic to come). Went back to there’s, partied for a bit longer, then headed back to Nat’s for her house party, where I met French guy.

Easter Sunday we went for drinks at this really cool place just down the road @ Maida Vale with the girls. We then went to another pub – apparently really ‘in’ with the ‘in’ crowd, then after freezing through to the bone, went to Gourmet Burger Kitchen for dinner. Think Burgalicious but not quite as good.

Surprisingly, I had no eater eggs for Easter – chocolate but no eggs that day. We came home and watched a move, followed by sex and the city and plenty of girly talk and giggly. Was a really nice Easter :o)

FRENCH GUY

Partied on through the night & well into Easter Sunday morning – 7am– haven’t done that for a long while! Met this French guy Frandge; Frank in English. I made every effort to say it like a bogan - for comedic effect bc he loved my accent. Anywho he seemed quite interested – he was good looking and had a cool accent so we hung out, exchanged number and went for a picnic @ Regent’s Park with him and his friends 2 days later.

The picnic was nice – sunny day but his friends spent the whole time speaking French in front of myself and Frandge’s german friend, completely aware we couldn’t understand them. We then took forever to decide where to go for coffee and sat there while they all smoked & choked us with their fumes (inside the restaurant – bc the no smoking ban doesn’t start here until june/july).

So French conversation – French jokes – and French dirty looks & cigarettes. I spent the whole time wanting to leave but didn’t, bc I enjoyed talking to the german guy. yeh so that was the start and end of that. Yet another example of why I’d rather not bother wasting my time. The only reason I even went was bc I thought id met some really cool ppl to hang out with. Yeh, no.

SHIOBAN Thurs 12th April

FINALLY caught up with Shiv-on from JB after her travelling for the last nine months. went out to dinner at Pizza Express with her, her sister, her best friend and the girl they were staying with for the weekend.

I had a hour or two to fill in b4 I met with her, so I discovered that THE London bridge didn’t fall down after all bc I walked across it hehehehe. There was however, a fire there the other day though.

I also went o the Tower Bridge which is AMAZING – not just an ordinary bridge – its carved and painted and looks like an artwork – its beautiful… for a bridge. I also walked past my first CASTLE – Tower Castle or something – can’t remember but I walked past it in awe. Its so old and still standing, and it’s right in the middle or the business district.

Shiv-on moved to Essex (where all the ‘chaves’ i.e. bogans/skanks live – she was unaware of this when taking on an au pair role). She loves it and I’m going to go visit soon b4 they move closer to London – to see what all the chavy fuss is about.

Seeing shiv-on tomorrow. We’re going to see if we can get cheap last minute tix to a show in the west end, if not I’ll show her the sights – the one’s ive been too – bc im such a Londoner now lol :op

Sun 29th April

Ended up going to see STOMP the musical at the ?????? theatre in the West End. Was excellent!!!! 9/10 – definitely recommended!!! Think tapdogs. I haven’t seen anything else similar so that’s where the comparison stops.

As for me showing shivon the sights – she’d already seen them and luckily bc I took us around some back streets I’d never seen b4. but we found this really swanky street to shop when we’re really rich ;o)
