Shooting the Uzi was harder than I thought! Chris's friend Charlie had to support me so I wouldn't fall backward...or shoot up the neighbor's house on the other side of the woods! Yikes!!

"Guns. Lots of guns."

Do you remember that line from The Matrix? That's how I felt today. My friend Chris took me out for a shooting spree over at his buddy's place, and I got to see and shoot some pretty cool guns!

Unlike most gals, I do like me some gun shootin'. I told Chris he should call me "AnnieO" - short for Annie Oakley. I also told him that he'd better be prepared to get himself beat, 'cuz my daddy taught me well.

Well, Chris showed me a fine time. His friend Charlie is a licensed gun seller, and he had some really cool guns. I actually got to shoot an Israeli-made Uzi - how cool is that?? I'd never shot a machine gun before, so I was pretty excited!

Although I love the way the Bushmaster looks, it was a bit unwieldy. The barrel was very long - I guess my arms just aren't meant for guns this big! (but I'm okay with that)

Of course, I wasn't quite prepared for the way it would push me back as it fired, but Charlie was there to keep me from shooting into the sky (which was good, since he does have neighbors in the general direction where we were shooting the Uzi).

So we shot the Uzi, as well as his .22 with a brand new silencer, a couple .45s, a 9mm, and a Bushmaster, which is a great big long freaking heavy rifle. But it felt so cool shooting it!! :-)

In the end, I can't say that I outshot Chris, because he really let me shoot a lot more than he himself did. I thought that was rather nice.

Now, this is more my size! And don't I look good with it? Yeah, buddy!! (actually, I didn't even shoot this one...) :-)
