last stop before the border

sal and i took the train from LA to San Diego. nice ride! Amtrak is always late, but even so we nearly missed it and had to run to catch it. i caught the door and held it while sal helped a blind guy across the tracks. ouch!

julia was in town and kind enough to pick us up at the station.

we stayed at the layfeyette hotel a bit north of downtown san diego. the outside is impressive at first site, with giant pillars and brick sides. wow. but the room was pretty crappy for the price.

breakfast was at the Big Kitchen. i can´t speak well enough of the awesome funky find!

two nights at the hotel and it was time to boogy on...
