Nicks Story. We arrived in Fez on the train from Meknes and found the Medina and a lovely new hotel bang in the center to stay. And then we tried to see Fez! I think that if we had visited Fez at the start of the trip we would have liked it more, but right at the end was too tough for us weary travellers. The medina is just hundreds and thousands of tiny shops, most no more than 3 steps wide and 8 steps deep........thousands of them. If you like shopping, Fez is amazing, but we tried to be enthusiastic without ever feeling really comfortable. In fairness, the people working were not as aggressive as in Marakesh and some of the stuff was excellent.......but there were so many people in such tiny streets that we gave up after an hour or so and found a quiet juice bar to watch Fez go by.

The next morning was a lot quieter in the Medina and we had another hour taking photos before getting on the train to Rabat......the final stop in Morocco.
