Not much to say here.  Did a short stop in the capital which appeared clean and nice, but our taxi driver locked the doors when he stopped at the intersection.  Through some talking, it doesn't sound that Quito is the safest of South American cities.

After some tormented days of trying to get airfare to the Galapagos Islands, we have managed to succeed at arriving in Darwin's paradise.  To throw out a little appetizer, I think we have some good adventures coming during the next week and a half.  There will be diving with hammerheads, marine iguanas and seals on Tuesday, so please stay tuned.
