Hello All!

Miss us?  We have been very very busy and not at all near a computer for a while now.  We decided to catch you all up on our latest destination and then go back and fill in the blanks...we don't want you worrying about us now.  So, we are in South Africa!  We arrived into Johannesburg after a deluxe flight on Gulf Air and an even lovelier stop over in Bahrain.

Our hostel/guest house picked us up at the airport and brought us to their place way out in the suburbs.  It was a lovely place, a bit strange, since we were the only guests and it was definitely their house we were staying in.  We ate dinner with the family and they drove us to the mall so we could do some shopping...you see how weird that is?  We quickly realized the only way to travel around this country is with a car, so we rented the cutest vehicle in the world!  A bright blue volkswagon Chico.  Its fantastic except the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car!  They drive left here.  So, we are now driving a stick with our left hand while driving on the right side of the car on the left side of the road in the Southern Hemisphere....do you see how confusing this is?!  Carrie is a total master...thank god because I am mediocre at best.  Highways are ok...the hilly city of Cape Town...not ok.

We spent our two days here recovering from the chaos of India and running errands.  The guest house had the cutest little boy ever so we played with him a bunch.  Then we headed out for our safari!!!!!!  :)
