Experienced the "Ultimate Lost World," a 7-hour caving adventure. Highlight of my trip, and one of the most exciting things I've ever done.

The trip started with a 100 meter abseil into the cave entrance.  Then took the wet way out, walking, swimming, climbing and crawling across several kilometers underground.

Along the way, climbed up a waterfall; jumped about 6 meters into a dark, icy pool; tiptoed along narrow ledges; scampered under a huge rock; and witnessed a brilliant "night sky" -- thousands of gloworms set against the pitch darkness of the cave walls.

I am a little confused and disappointed by the fact that you managed to make it through this entire entry without using the world "spelunk" or any other forms of that word including "spelunking" "spelunked" "spelunker" or the Greek root, "spelyngos." You also forfeited a truly exceptional opportunity for witticisms and clever wordplay. For instance you could have mentioned getting "spelunkified" or jazzed up your entry with a phrase like, "Bring in the noise, bring in the spelunk." In this regard I find your entry to be a wasted opportunity. But otherwise... your trip to the Waitomo Caves looks and sounds like it was amazing. I really can't imagine anything much more exciting. -Drew P.S. Nice wetsuit.
