So Cam had been raving so much about Budapest from his trip there (he has been in Europe for 10 months so he has seen A LOT) and the whole Turkish Baths and cheap massages was a huge draw, so after determining 3 hours by train was really not far, we headed off to Budapest! SO much to see there, there is a huge park around Heroes Square (very cool statues) with a statue of Anonymous (apparently a real person) who used to write letters of complaint every week to the king, also a zoo, many baths and such around there, hard to beleive it was all tucked in around the city.

The first day we hiked up this big hill park thing for an amazing view of the river and city (oh, and sidenote there was a dead pig just floating along, very gross), so that was tiring but very worth it, then we checked out the parliament building which is (like most things here) covered in scaffolding so that was annoying, but still interesting. Day 2 we went to the Turkish Baths and lay in the sun, went in the MANY pools with different healing effects, and I treated myself to a half hour massage that was SOOO nice after backpacking for so long! We had to leave early on the last day to catch a train to Salzburg, but I wanted to go back, there are caves under the city that are apparently amazing too!!!
