We are really enjoying Kansai Gaidai.  The whole campus is about 10 years old so the buildings are new and the grounds landscaped with gardens, fountains and sculpture.  There are 400 International students from over 30 countries and 13,000 Japanese students.  The international students have their own building with classrooms, faculty offices, support staff and a large gathering space is that is always full.  On the campus there is everything most students need: a gym, 2 student cafeterias, a faculty cafeteria, a beautiful library/media center, McDonalds, Seattle's Best Coffee, a book store, and a convenience store with a travel agency.

It is a lot of fun to talk to the students;  everyone is very friendly  Tom and I have tagged along on 3 class trips: a bike ride in the country to visit archaeological sites, a temple visit to Nara, and a trip to Osaka to the Peace Museum seeing exhibits on the bombing of Osaka.
