Today we spent the morning walking around Inverness, around the lake and in the town, doing various things - burning our photos onto CDs, visiting the Scottish shops again and then doing a bit of sightseeing around the lake before we took the bus to Isle of Skye. The weather was so different to how it had been the day before. It was frosty and misty. Even past lunchtime it felt like it was still early in the morning. The whole time we were in Scotland I was so disoriented about what time it was. It gets dark at about 4pm, so early on in the night you feel like it should be about 10 o'clock at night. We had breakfast at a cafe and on the menu it was like, 'Egg / Bacon / Cheese Roll'. I said to the girl, 'Can I please have an Egg and Cheese roll with Brown Sauce (that's BBQ sauce here by the way, it's it's ketchup not sauce if you're asking for tomato). She's like 'Oh no, I'm sorry it's egg OR bacon OR cheese.' And I'm like, 'Well can you check if I can have two fillings?' So she goes to the kitchen and she comes back and says the same thing. 'Oh no, I'm sorry it's egg OR bacon OR cheese. We don't have a price for egg AND cheese.' Christ! How backward are they? I mean what about making up a price? So I gave up on that one and I had a fried egg on a roll. No butter, no nothing just a plain fried egg. Seriously...

Anyway, it was lovely going for a walk around the River Ness. The scenery on the way to Isle of Sky was amazing too.

'Oh no, I'm sorry it's egg OR bacon OR cheese.'

The hostel we stayed in at Isle of Skye was called Saucy Mary's and it had a pub underneath where you can eat. A live band played that night and the place was just packed with Aussies and Kiwis on the Haggas Tour. The band was good. The food was average.

Adriana wasn't well really since she had some space cake on Christmas Eve, so we took it easy that night. There was no locks on the doors of the hostel and the room wasn't the warmest, so the next night we moved to the hostel a couple of doors down. It was snowing a little bit that night which was lovely.
