I arrived to a room of ants, nice to have neighbors just not that close!! So we checked out once we'd abused the toilet and pinched the roll, remember its like gold dust over here so please don't judge.

Found a place very central with a bar attached which is always a bonus when meeting people. The friendly people working there soon learn your name, at first this is sweet but when all the local Taxi drivers start shouting across the bar you soon feel its a little too familiar.

There isn't a great deal to Dalat, just many mountains and the high altitude left it a lot cooler but it was very much appreciated. So one moto bike later and I'm on my way to Denag waterfalls, only after 80k of driving we find out from a local that we've another 80 to go and by this time it was getting dark. Although I got to see some great views through the hills of local towns and plenty of exhaust fumes to keep my lungs busy for a few months I was gutted to have missed out on the waterfalls. The next day  we were off on the moto bikes, we spent 3 hours hiking up Luang Buang volcanic Mountain, Vicky kept reminding me not too think of how much further we had to climb just to remember the reward at the top, all I kept hoping for was 3 hunks ready to carry me to a hammock, fan me and feed me ice coke and grapes, but my bubble was soon popped every time I turned the next corner and there was more mountain peaks. On the way down, with a large sigh we stopped at a hut surrounded with free horses, a tied up monkey, ducks, puppies, goats and birds but no people at first. I was ready for doctor Doo Little to appear, then an old Vietnamese lady appears behind the desk big smiles and NO english. So out came the point it book and half an hour of 'No meat, No meat'.

I feel after all the K's we drove that after 2 full days around Dalet it was time to move on to Nhatrang and get a little beach time.........
