Cuneo Horse Campground is at the western end of the Humboldt Redwoods in CA. It is nestled in an old Orchard Grove with plently of berry bushes. Good attractions for Bears, Deer and Wild Turkey. Honeydrew, is a little ways pass Cuneo Horse Campground. Very small, very scenic valley. A little store and post office. Very friendly people. A little place to stop over before going on the loop to the coast and back up to highway 101.
The area is dotted with small ranches, and a beautiful city right before you get to highway 101.
Allow a full day to really see everything on this side trip! Just the 8 miles from 101 highway up to Cuneo Horse Campground, took us a good 45 minutes!
