Off to Tranås for XMAS,

Left on the 20 Dec and got the bus with aridiculous amount of prezzies to Grona where we got a lift to Tranås! I was looking forward to a white xmas but it wasn’t gonna happen.........infact the paper said this week that if the weather doesn’t change this week we can expect rainy shitty up until March ..... Awesome, UK weather for a few more months, the only difference here is that Swedes don’t have messed up teeth.

Xmas was pretty similar to Aussie xmas, plenty of food, plenty of booze, a big assed xmas tree and lots of really really bad shows on TV......the worst show being the "Donald duck xmas"....its like a 1940's Disney special that always gets played on xmas day and everyone watches it. It was painful, infact I made the Karlsson's realise how painful it was and effectively ruined a family tradition of 23 yrs, and they stopped watching before the end and said they will never watch it again! Ha-ha. There is one clear difference with a Swedish xmas, and that’s the fact that someone always dresses up as Santa, then they walk in from the street holding a sake of goodies and a candle light then they knock on the door and ask "are there any good kids here" then they give out the presents..........and of course Santa was me (actually they call him Tomtin but who cares). There is a picture attached, be sure to laugh at it. Before and after Xmas was a few dinners and drinks with friends as well as going to the local night club, good times good times.
