Toronto

Traveling to Toronto was to be about meeting my boyfriends parents but at the end, it was also about lots of fun, good shopping, and being in the company of very friendly Canadians.

Shopping, eating, and just hanging around cool people in Toronto

My boyfriend, Ken, took me to King Street. Its a great place to hang out and having a beer or meal with friends. Queen street is for the shopper in all of us. Its not just the usual mall brands either. Theres cool jewelry shops such as Ecko that I had to leave quickly so I dont spend a fortune in there.

Of course, we had to visit Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC). Ive been there on my previous trips to Canada and it used to be the Canadian version of REI but cheaper. But the weaker dollar caused the exchange rate to end the 30%+ discount that I used to enjoy. Sad.

Toronto is a Canadian city, that means it'spretty safe and clean for being a cosmopolitan city. One thing I like about Toronto more than Vancouver is that it does have more Architecture to see, as the city is older so there are more older buildings showing the older but more interesting architecture.

The CN tower is the one thing that we did not get a chance to see. But it required paying $20 a person and a long wait in line. To us, it wasnt really worth it.
