Regina is a very laid back spot. dons't seem to be realy busy and the mounties training acdamey is probably its main draw. they have a couple of other museums that proably would be worth a visit if you were stuck here for any length of time. the city does have on very good park arounf the state parliment buildings that has walking tracks that can pass an hour or two on a sunny day which it did.
the mounties acdamey is worth the visit and its free (donation optional). they seem to be building a new superduper bigger one that i say will be double the size. also there at about one o'clock every day there is the recruit roll call parade. i was a bit disappointed though that none of them were in the famous red coats. appartenly its only a summer thing for the tourists.

if you wanted a day trip, one can go to moose jaw, where there is a tunnel network under some of the old buildings that was build in the 1800's. there are 2 tours one about the period when they were used by chinese immigrants who couldn't live above ground because of the attitudes towards them at the time. the other deals with when they were used by american gansters during prohibition. i only had time to do the first one, plus i found it a bit pricey for the budget traveller. and pissed me off abit that they wouldn't let you take any photos. it not like it was the mona lisa.
