Ascona

Ascona is in the Italian part of Switzerland.  Italian is an official language in Switzerland and it is certainly used in this region.  We stayed at a hotel with some friends who were in the country form the U.S..  It was very beautiful in terms of scenery and the weather was excellent.  We took the next day to head to Italy for the day and check it out.  I had seen the difference in Swiss culture and language before in the French part but it was just as prominent on the border with Italy.
