So, it would seem that we have settled into out 'normal' life here in Dundee! Our flat is to our liking, and both Tara and I have settled into our daily routines of work and school.
Everything is going very well for Tara at work. Her colleagues have already commented how impressed they are by her abilities and attitudes. So her contract has been extended for another month! With a bit of luck, she'll be hired on permanently beyond November. The practise is certainly different than the Canadian one where she has worked - mostly becuase of all the rats, mice, hamsters and rabbits that people bring in! As I write this, she's doing her first rabbit spay.

School is also going well for me. Classes are interesting, profs are great. We've already had a couple good class debates; one on education and the other on Salman Rushdie. Attached is a picture of my class, to give you a sense of its diversity!
Last weekend, we didn't do a whole lot. Tara was exhausted from her 50+hours or work, and I had sympathy fatigue. We went out for a nice Indian meal friday night and watched a couple movies (We recommend Goodbye Lenin) saturday. Sunday it was sunny so we ventured out to Broughty Ferry, a suburb of Dundee and the location of a satellite office of Tara's vet clinic. It also has a castle and a beautiful beach, both of which we were planning to visit. Except, out of nowhere, it started pouring. So we stopped into a beautiful little restaurant/pub (the Kittiwake) for lunch instead then caught the bus back home. At which point the blue skies returned. No kidding. Aaaaarg! Scottish weather.
