Right, here goes, this is the abridged version of what happened, if you want more info, I believe Patrice gives plenty of details!!! Arrived in Guanajuato, to a very small room with a double bunk. After a toss of a coin, the boys lost and ended up with the bunk, believe me, we did not hear the end of that for quite some time! We dopped our bags and went for a look around. It is much smaller than Guadalajara, but much prettier, and we were amazed to find that more people spoke english. The high points of our time here were:

Bar Occho - a bar with a pool table where we managed to meet lots of new people and again converse in the universal language of pool. A clever name too, cuase as well as meaning the 8 ball, it is also very similar to the spanish word for drunk. Apparantly this was not deliberate which is even better! We also went out for a lovely italian meal in a restaurant where a guy that the others had met, worked. Gorgeous food and an amazing view over the city. This travelling is not all bad!

Low points - the mummy museum. Apparently, Mexicans travel from far and wide to see the sights of the museum, so we thought that we should at least travel down the road. We were wrong. It was grim. There were mummies with hair, pregnant mummies, child mummies. Yuk. I could have lived my whole lofe happily without seeing that! Even worse, we found out that the reason the bodies were there was because the families could not afford to pay the taxes so the bodies were dug up! We got trapped in the museum by the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard. Not scary at all. Honest.

Overall, a really cool place, lovely university, good places to eat, and great cowgirl hats! Highly reccommended.
