Greetings all, we have started our road trip in Ireland.  Amanda is a bit tired today so I'll be filling in for her on the computer.  We began our trip here in Shannon, (Airport) and made our way to Limerick for the night.  The day was not to eventful because it was mainly dedicated for travel.  However, we had just enough time to catch a dinner in Limerick at a local pub just before bed.  Nothing fancy, just a BLT for me and salad for Amanda.  My princess Amanda loves her fresh vegetables so sometimes it's hard to find a reasonable place to eat.  I have a bad habit of eating non-health food and get reminded often that I too need healthy meals.  If Amanda doesn't get fresh vegetables and coffee in the morning it's going to be a bad day.  Yes, I still get daily reminders that she is "the princess" and the female is always right.  I won't comment any further on that remark.  Yup, I just sit back and enjoy the ride.  Anyway, the next morning Amanda woke up with a new friend sleeping on her feet.  A cat had jumped through our room window and decided to snuggle up on Amanda's bed.  I quickly removed the animal before Amanda could snatch it up and bring it home.  After our morning incident, we packed up and humped ourselves and luggage to the bus station.  It was a good thirty minute hike.  From the bus station we journeyed back to Shannon Airport to pick up our rental car.  We ended up with a blue Corolla.  Just a note, Corolla's seem to be quite the international car.  Every country we have visited has had this Toyota model.  Moving on, I was a little intimidated driving.  The Irish drive on the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right hand side.  Our car is also a stick shift making it all the more fun to change gears with your left hand.  After a little practice it's becoming quite fun and entertaining.  The only thing that's scary anymore is the narrow roads.  It takes a little bit of wit to drive past other cars heading the other direction going 100 km on these tiny, curvy roads.  The drive has been amazing though.  The beauty of this country is spectacular and unmatched.  Everything is green and the habitat is rich with trees, flowers, and grass.  We have stopped several times on the road just to take picture of the scenery.  Our second days adventure was to a little town called Tralee.  This town was pretty nice.  It had wonderful parks and gardens to walk around in.  We didn't do to much after we arrived due to lack of energy on both of our parts.  Traveling is awesome but it seems to take its toll on us that day.  Today, on the 23rd, we left Tralee and ventured to Killarney.  Our drive took us once again through some truly amazing scenery and lasted about an hour and a half.  We took some detours and tried to see some other fun stuff along the way but ended up at dead ends for the car.  In order to get further back into Irish country you must do so by horse carriage.  Anyway, we successfully made it to Killarney and drove around in circles a few times before finding our new hotel room.  After checking in and parking the car we went for quite a lenghty walk around town to check out the local sites.  Not much to report, they have a lot of little shops geared toward tourism.  We did find a really neat catholic church though with exquisite architecture.  This church looked like the old stone castles you see in books.  It's hard to explain it's beauty so you'll all just have to wait to see the pictures.  That's about all we have to tell you guys right now so we'll sign off and bid you all fair well.  Hope everybody is doing fine and you're having fun without us. We have no way to resize photos to add them (it takes forever), will add some at our next stop.
