I arrived in typical Belgian weather. It was a slow rain that stayed all day. I met up with Brieux and he took me to his home right outside of Brussels. It is a beautiful home with a large backyard and a pool. For dinner we had a traditional belgian meal with fries and and excellent desert made from chocolate.
The next day I had to pick up Matt and Doug from the airport. Today was the day we were going to see Brussels. After dropping off their bags we first headed to the arch and the military museum. Both of them really liked the museum, it has a nice collection of airplanes. We then head to downtown to see the Grand Plaza, which is very beautiful. Then it was off to manneken pis. For dinner we had another great meal with Brieux and again chocolate desert. At the night time we met up with some of Brieux's friends and went to a bar that had 300 different type of belgian beer. This was my kind of place. We enjoyed some of Belgium's finest.

On wednesday we headed to Brugge to see the Venice of the North. I went to Brugge before but it was a holiday so many of the churches and towers were closed. We got to see the Micheangelo sculpture. We visited at a special time because we got to see and touch the blood of Christ. They have a relic which they say contains the blood of Christ that was given to them during the dark ages.
The third day in Belgium we headed up to Brieux's coutry home. He has 200 acres in the north part of Belgium. We enjoyed a steak dinner with fries and then played pool all night. The next day we rose motobikes and toured around his property. We then headed back to watch a soccer match. It was a friendly between Andelecht and a loacl team. Andelecht won the belgian title this year, so it was a good team to watch. Check out Belgium Pics: http://photos.yahoo.com/moose127
