The next day I was off to San AgustÃn. It must have been the worst bus ride I have been on so far. It was 6 hours of mostly unpaved road. The bus was equipped with a with a display showing the the speed. It was 6 hours of going 20km/h or less, with 2 flat tires and a long stop to get the punctures patched.
Finally in San AgustÃn you are constantly hassled by people trying to sell you a horse ride to some of the archaeological sites. I spend the first day there at the Parque Arqueológico, and second on a horse tour in the rain around the area other statues which were found in the area. This time my horse was not so rambunctious as in Salento, and my feet actually fit in the stirrups... how boring!

Most of the statues are protected by some type of roof covering them and I don't think that many of them were in their original location, so it doesn't feel like they are so natural. But the statues are pretty impressive, some of them are considered to be over 3000 years old.
