Today Jason and I go snorkeling. (Selina doesn’t want to come because she thinks it will be too cold and plans a spa day instead.) We are supposed to get picked up at 9am, but don’t get picked up until about 9:30 from the dock outside the Inn. Snorkeling turns out to be a good call, as it is sunny for the first time since I’ve been here. We pick up 4 other people, then continue to the town of Placencia to the dive shop that is running our tour. We pick out masks and flippers. They have a hard time fitting my small feet. Four of us (Jason and I and a couple from Idaho) go to Laughing Bird Caye, a national heritage site and protected park area. The island is roughly 35x350. Just before we reach the island, our guide, Gas, has to stop and puke overboard. Something he ate….

When we arrive the four of us snorkel off the south side and see a ton of fish in the reef. Gas is preparing our bbq lunch – marinated grilled fish, cheesy potatoes, beans and corn. Yummy. After digesting for about a half hour, Gas takes us out on the other side of the island and tells us the name of everything we see. We see ginourmous lobsters, bigger than I have ever seen, barracuda, conchs and a ton of other different fish. We don’t see any rays. Gas drops us off at about 3:30 and I sit out in the sun with Selina for about half an hour with a strawberry daiquiri.

There is a beautiful full moon tonight. I see a shooting star.

I finally am able to spend about a half hour on the computer checking my email and facebook.

There is a beautiful full moon tonight. I see a shooting star. Dinner is Coconut Shrimp, Seafood Trio Platter (lobster tail, snapper and king crab legs) and half a piece of oreo cookie cheesecake. I’m stuffed!
