Not What We Expected

Go to the bus station, so there is one, and catch the number 100 to Monaco, only 1.30 each. Beautiful bus ride and then we get off at the casino stop. Look at the park, then see the casino itself. It is so pretty we both assumed it was the palace. Beautiful outside, but we thought we didn't look nice enough to go in, so we looked all around the outside. There are a lot more buildings there then we thought, and so many ugly new ones, tall and modern, they ruin the look. We wander down to the harbour passing the Princess Grace theatre and then an adorable little church. Find out that we need to take a bus to the Cathedral and the Palace so we hop on. When we get there we stop and buy some chocolates for Gigi and then send then. The Cathedral was really beautiful. So windy out though, like it could almost knock us over. The palace was even windier. It wasn't open, but we looked at the outside. The casion was a lot prettier, the palace is rather plain on the outside. We found a cute little courtyard to write our postcards in then explored some more. Took the bus back to the casino and then the 100 back to Nice. We have four roomates, two sets of two girls from Japan. The first two were getting ready to go to Monaco and check out the night life. We all had a lot of fun talking, but while they went out the rest of us went to bed.
