Then I went to Mainz, my second home in Germany, to see the family - Steffen, Kelly (American - but unfortunately from the south :) ) and little Collin Hay. Steffen and I went to see a Mainz soccer game. This time we weren't in the luxury box, so I got to really see everything. Here the visitors section is totally caged off from the rest of the fans and from the field. And there are lots of security... and security with riot gear... everywhere!
And like all of my trips to Mainz, at least one night ends by eating a doenner and catching the 5am bus back home Steffen is unstoppable! It is a good that Kelly had a homemade pot of Chili at home ready to cure our hangover - this makes up for her being from the souht (HI KELLY!!!)
