I was scheduled to race in karts against Mark Webber ... a real dream come true! I was worried about having to drive all that way from Derbyshire to Kent the morning of the race, however, so we booked a hotel room in Basildon, Essex. From there it was only an hour's drive to the karting circuit in Sittingbourne, Kent, and it was only a very short drive to Southend-on-Sea for some sightseeing!
