This was a busy day- Lots done!
Took down camp and set off early to drive along the Icefields Parkway towards Jasper(one of the highest highways of the Rockies) and Wow! talk about a scenic drive!
Up, up and away!
Stopped along the way to have a look at Peyton Lake (which is shaped like a wolf) and Bow Lake, which is surrounded by glaciers. (See photos)

Then it was onwards to do a helicopter ride over the Rockies, just to get a different perspective! Although only a few mins (15), the views were beautiful and the price was cheap enough! After that, we headed for Athabasca Glacier, got wrapped up nice a warm and took a guided walk up onto it. Came across some interesting cervasses and our guide explained lots about glaciers for us, many of whom had never set foot on a glacier before.
A few hiked Parker Ridge instead. No shortcuts allowed though since there are still missiles and other warfare things up there!! However, they did get their 'Sound of Music' moment in the meadows near the top and had gorgeous views.

After all that, it was a pretty uneventful drive, but very scenic all the same, to Jasper, where we did some grocery shopping before heading to Whistler's to set up camp
