Day 24:

Got up and headed off from Mount Bromo for what we thought would be a straight forward journey. Advertised time of arrival 7pm....actual time 11pm!! After a minibus....big bus....ferry....stayed on the big bus....then a taxi to the resort. 14 hours in total. Vikki is applying for a job on the BBC natural world program as she is now an expert on insects especially those that live in buses!! (Vikki - Not a happy girl....yuk I hate them!!!!!).

Got to the resort at 12 (midnight) and some muppet taxi driver didn't grasp the economics of we want to pay 300,000 rupiah but kept taking us to places that charged double! After goting to 3 places we spotted what we thought was the place we asked to be taken too....bang on the money and after waking the old man up on the door we got a nice room : ) good times after a bad times day!

Tea was 2 mini pizzas and a banana cake for me...and a cheese croissant and ice cream for Vikki.

We are now in Bali territory...which equals tourist land until we try and get off the beaten track! First impressions were good though.

Day 25:

Finally caught up on the blog until we fall behind again.

Looked round Sanur...up and down the beach...nice stylish resort not tacky at all. There is a D&G shop for crying out loud!

Chilled on the beach....sorted some stuff out....changed some travellers cheques...then chilled out. We think we will enjoy Bali lots. Bit touristy but we hope to get to some more remote places.

Status Report: Ste = OK 90%. Vikki = Still having breakdowns 60%
