I woke up at 8:30 again today (right?!) I simply had to have the greek yogurt again. First, I had to shower, and twist my ankle. Oh, not on your todo list this morning? Odd. So, after putting my ankle up and being bored for 10 min, I swallowed a few painkillers and went on my way. I made a bee line for the yogurt and to my dismay there were none out. I declared my love for the barista that grabbed one from the fridge behind the counter and devoured it again, whilst staring into the street. I swear that yogurt put me into a trance.

The only picture I could find on this SD card that shows the hills of Bath. I have tons more but on my other card.

Anyway, I ran into Jane & Brenda outside of the baths and took some pictures with them. Then, I just walked around for about 4 hours. It's weird here. You walk and walk and walk and walk (etc) but I'm only a little tired. There's just so much to see! I made my way to No. 1 Georgian House (the oldest house in Bath), which was never actually a house. Most of the beautiful giant Georgian 'homes' where actually made for lodgings, so visitors could come to Bath to 'take the waters' and gamble.

it involved chaining up a stuffed bunny and throwing him into a river
This came out okay, I had to take it on the sly because the tour guide kept making fun of me and my camera.

I did learn that those beauty marks that women of the 17 & 18 century wore (those little black dots that were supposed to look like a mole) were actually to cover small pox scars. Men even wore a wax makeup to cover up their small pox scars.

I had a cornish pasty for lunch.... sooo good, pictures are coming soon. Later tonight I'm going to the Bizarre Bath Comedy Tour, which is a 90 min walk around Bath. I promise to update this to let you know how it is.

UPDATE

Well, I took a nice little nap at the hostel (geez, I was walking for 6 hours today, what do you want from me!?). My ankle feels fine - I just put a little Biofreeze on it (you laugh but you know it works) and I'm right as rain.

I met another traveler named Brett who's from Alberta. She just got done with a Contiki tour and now she's going to travel around and see whatever she missed. I invited her to the Bizarre Bath Comedy Tour, so Brett, Brenda & I caught the bus to the city center. Oh, I did mention the incredible yogurt to Brett and I'm pretty sure she's going to try it. Anyway, the Bizarre Bath Comedy Tour is really just a comedy walk. This guy (let's call him Nigel because I have no idea what his name is) just walks you around to different places and says some really funny things. The first thing he did when we 'gathered round' was to ask for a volunteer. In the small group of 15 no one budged,so Brett nudged me. I begrudgingly raised my hand and he called me to the center. After a joke or two about Texans' (which he incorporated through the night as well) and/or Americans (there were 2 others there) he had me do some odd things with a glass of water. Umm.... anyway, so the tour was pretty funny, it involved chaining up a stuffed bunny and throwing him into a river, putting Brett in the stocks to chop up some carrots (along with her head), and tying a girls ring to a balloon and watching it float away. Lots of laughs involved as well, of course.  Bath at night is just breathtaking. The Abbey and all those buildings lite up... I can't imagine living here and seeing this every day. Houston really needs to add something to make it pretty like this... Maybe some mountains? Or rapids? Hmmmm...

This was the East Gate into the city during medival times. Now, it's pretty much covered by a parking lot.

Right now, I'm doing laundry, budgeting and reading up about London. I've got to vacate the hostel by 10am tomorrow, so, after that, I'll catch a coach to London. I'm really going to miss Bath. It's such an incredibly beautiful city. Honestly, I'm a little worried (don't roll your eyes, please!) but I like Bath so much that I can't imagine any other city can come close to it's 'amazing awesomeness'. What if I get to London and it's just okay? Or, Belgium chocolates just aren't that great? On the upside of that, I'm in EUROPE! So, who cares, right? If Bath (make sure you're saying that like "Bahth" and not like an American says "bathroom"- if you don't, British people like to pretend they don't know what you're saying), anyway, if (Bahth) is the best city, then at least I can say I know it because I've been there. Anyway, it'll be sad to leave these gorgeous hills and creamy marble buildings. Oops, I'd better go check my laundry! Thanks for checking in!

Sarah! I can't wait to see the pictures. Bath sounds like a dream! Bring me back some yogurt.
