Back to Malaysia for one more beach

Having encountered bad weather on the Andaman coast and with little interest in visiting any other islands on Thailand's gulf coast we decided to go back to Malaysia. The Perhentian islands are close to the Thai border on the gulf coast.  After an overnight train from Koh Tao we arrived at Long beach on Perhentian Kecil (little island).

The diving in the area was great, the atmosphere relaxed (with malaysia being muslim alcohol was limited and expensive), and the beach was fantastic. Unfortunately we couldn't stay as long as we'd wished as Paul came down with a flu, prompting a hasty retreat back to the mainland.
