It was an early start again today as we boarded the bus to Bariloche, Argentina. We were lucky enough have a clear morning to see the volcano from our hotel. It looked so magnificent in the morning sun. Just to think that we struggled so hard to climb it just a few days ago.

Within an hour, we were crossing the border from Chile into Argentina. The views just keep getting better and better as more snow-capped mountains and crystal clean lakes began to appear.

We made it into town by evening. Bariloche was built by Swiss and German immigrants so everything is very Alpine inspired including the many chocoloate shops arond town. This is where I had my first alfajores which is similar to a Wagon Wheel.

The town of Bariloche lies on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi and is surrounded by several mountains that are accessible by cable cars. At the top, I got an amazing view of the snow capped mountains and the lake.
