On my second day here I went on a little boat ride out to the Great Barrier Reef.  I met a Terri from Montreal and she was traveling by herself so we kind of paired up.  She decided to only snorkel but I went scuba diving!  It was so exciting.  I was really scared at first especially when we first went under.  It was like I was gasping and just couldn't get my breath.  After I relaxed though it was truly amazing and I would go every day if I could.

After lunch I stayed on the boat with a bunch of people because the water was really rough and it was very cold outside.  The water felt great but when you're snorkeling your backside would freeze off!  Anyway I met some really great people.  A group of us sat at a table and just chatted.  There was  girl from the Netherlands, a family from Sweeden, a guy from Germany, Terri from Montreal, Bret from New York and me!  We had quite the mix.  They all thought that my "accent" was neat because they all sounded similar and I was the weird one.  Let me tell you that was the coolest thing ever :D

The boat ride was really rough and lots of people got sick but I am happy to say that I just got nauseous but kept on a talking and did not get sick.  Woohoo!

I am pretty sure there will be no little Alvin kitties to hunt in the rainforest. Just big spiders and poisonous snakes. Corey, have a blast and take some great pictures. Oh, by the way, if you take some really great scenic pictures, they may be privileged enough to be enlarged and put in my bedroom. Think of the color scheme in my bedroom when taking pictures. Love ya!!
