Maastricht, The Netherlands

We arrived in this southern Dutch city in the middle afternoon on a beautiful day. Everyone was out enjoying the day, so we walked through the city center for a bit and then relaxed along the river where there were hundreds of outdoor seats. We enjoyed the sunshine and the atmosphere of this friendly city for a couple of hours before making the trip back to Rotterdam. I am not sure if it was because of the weather being so spectacular or not, but Maastricht seemed to be a very lovely city that made for a relaxing and lazy afternoon.
