On Saturday, Angelica(my flatmate and one of the volunteers here) and I went to a magical place about 80 km from San Jose and 30 km from the Volcano Arenal.  We stayed there for 2 nights and loved every moment of it.  Basically, we did not want to come back.  The hotel is called Landsinlove (Tierras Enamoradas) and is owned by, I think, 20 friends from Israel who all work together there.  It is vegetarian and has a pet hotel as well.  It is in one of the most beautiful places I have been to.  It is in the middle of the jungle and is so peaceful.  We felt like we were in heaven.  The rooms are very tastefully done and they have hand-painted the pot plants and some of the outside walls and floors. There are hiking trails to the waterfalls where we actually had a swim(well, sort of as you cannot actually swim).  Everybody was very friendly and helpful.  They really went out of the way to accomodate us with some strange food requests (we are hoping they will let us go back!).  The food was delicious, a combination of middle eastern, chinese, indian and italian.  It really fascinated me that everybody seemed to work so well together and they all seemed to be in harmony.  We also did canopy with a tarzan swing and zip line cable.  It was a lot of fun.  I have included pictures so you can see for yourselves.  We really had a wonderful time with loads of laughs and fantastic food and I will definitely return there before I leave Costa Rica.  If you ever come to Costa Rica, do yourself a favour and stay a few days there.  You will not regret it!    The website is www.landsinlove.com
