day 8

We are in NY state now and the weather has been so sexy. i think it

been about 30deg or hotter so far. we have been watching the weather

channel when ever we get the chance cause they are having tornadoes all

through the mid west and they are getting a little too close for my

liking!

we are on our way to lake placid (not the place from that movie with the

big crocodile ha) but a really pretty town with a massive lake. New

england has been so beautiful. exactly what you would imagine! beautiful

little houses with pointy roofs, green, yellow, orange and red leaves

everywhere. so we left bennington VT and went on our way to lake placid NY.

it was such a beautiful drive. the weather turned a little for us and we

had some rain but it just made the leaves fall off the trees and float

everywhere it was so beautiful! we stopped in a town called saratoga

springs NY got a coffee and thought we might for have a look at the

state park and go for a walk or something. we drove in for a couple of

miles and all decided we were too lazy after the coffee and went on our

merry way to lake placid NY. i was desperate to pee and after going past

a million rest stops without toilets i decided i was brave enough to

just do it!!! (we had toilet paper ha)  but lucky for us the next rest stop was fully equip with toilets and crazy old men wearing highlighter bright vests and mumbling crap to themselves, needless to stay we all peed and ran back to the car...

our next stop along the way was at a place called high peaks! a little

tourist information place in the middle of no where! we went in got some

new maps and took a photo with a random tree in the middle of the place

thats looked like a vagina! haha.

we arrived at lake placid and were blown away by the prettiness! its

where they had the winter Olympics a few years ago and it was really

touristy but so beautiful! cute houses with peaked roofs, heaps of

massive lakes, mountains surrounding everything just breathtaking! we

went for a little wonder around brought some presents for people and had

some dinner..i dunno if it was he mountain air or the glass of wine but

mum involuntarily winked at our 20yr old waiter (who was adorable). nat

and i almost died of embarrassment but in the end just pissed ourselves

laughing and continued on with life. we went back to the hotel had a

sexy spa and had an early night.
