We loved Koh Phi Phi, it was 9 days of bliss on a very quiet beach, in a single 'resort' (beach shacks) with the nicest resort owner we have met thus far. Pon became our host, friend, doctor (when Chris stuck his foot on a sea urchin) and chef (delivering many yummy meals to our tummies).

Theres not much to do here, but that doesnt matter when you have a pristine stretch of white send literally 2mtrs from your doorstep, and sunshine - most of the time, we were just on the end of the wet season there. We also took a couple of trips out in the owners long tail boat to Phi Phi Leh (the uninhabited of the 2 Phi Phi islands) and to Bamboo island, where there is loads of snorkelling.

Phi Phi Leh blew us away, they say Aussie beaches are the best, but after seeing beautiful limestone cliffs against crystal blue water rimmed in white sand I beg to differ. Sure Australia has many good beaches, but this one was absolutely spectacular. The best part in particular was entering thru a cave like entrance to a pristine lagoon with snorkelling, deep water for diving off the boat into, and a little sand ledge to the side, you could even see underwater quite far without a mask the water was that clean.

The trip to Bamboo was great too but almost too many fish, so many in fact that a couple tried to nibble at us! Not that they have teeth or made a dent at all, but it was a little unnerving. There were so many fish that you felt like you were in a giant aquarium just freshly stocked for the pet shop.

Lots of picks to tell you more, I think this might be the preferred method of updating our blog now since we have been so terrible at it. Plenty of pics to go around afterall, we've been so snap happy since we've been here..

Hello, Which of the phi phi Don beaches did you stay on? We are thinking of going to Phak Nam or Rantee for seclusion. Just wondered where you escaped the crowds and found your little beach? It looks beautiful...

Hello, I am going to Phuket in April and was wondering if you could make any hotel reccomendations for Phi Phie or Phuket? We are looking for mid range lodging. Any other tips you could provide?
