Tues 25/7/7 - The Big Bus Tour around the sights of London proved to be a BIG DAY OUT - all day travelling on an open top bus, visiting the Tower of London (we escaped), cruise down the Thames to Westminster and Big Ben, past the London Eye and several other notable buildings, more bussing past Buck Pal, Westminster Palace, New Scotland Yard, Marble Arch - then caught a bus back up Oxford St to Russell Square, where we limped back home tired and full of information.

Wed 26/7/7 - recovery day!  Annie and Chris hit the Shops on Oxford Street to cash in on the sales, bagging some bargains and exhausting ourselves while Dad caught up on some valuable ZZZZZs.  Caught up with Linda for coffee on Kingsway, and bought a swagload of beautiful fruit from a market stall - raspberries, grapes, peaches, cherries, avos - so cheap it was unbelievable.  Dinner in a London pub - complete with "warm beer" (Youngs Directors Special) which went down a treat.

We just had to catch a London cab - Dad was impressed!

Thur 27/7/7 - A visit to the British Museum exhausted and mind boggled us all - The Rosetta Stone, Egyptian Mummies, Sloane's Astrolabe - and a million Scouts and spanish students.....  goodness - what a surprise... it was raining when we came out - we just had to catch a London cab - Dad was impressed!
