We decided to stopover in miami for 14 hours before transferring to to Rio.  Miami looks very funny from up in the air.  Residential areas that kind of branch into a lake (man-made or real?) so that each house has a water front in their backyard, the canal between Miami Beach and the main land of Miami ... oh but the beach, the beach is so big and water so clear and blue and welcoming in this hot weather!!

Yves and I walked for like 1 hour to find a place to eat becuz the 3 restaurants i found online all turn out to serve only dinner.... in the end we went to this restaurant in a hotel where there´s water mist spraying from fans in the patio and ordered mojito and food.  The mojito is gigantic but we didn~t know until we pay that it costs $30US!

Then i got a airbrush tatoo of butterfly on my chest.  Shopped on Lincoln Street Mall in the hottest part of the day and reunite with my beloved karen of miss sixty.  It was also the first time in a long time that Yves would willingly go into every single store with me instead of waiting for me outside.  To reward him i found him a white tank at american apparel.

At around 4 we decided to head to the beach, and man what a beach it is!  We finally understand the true meaning of people watching... lots of beautiful people on this beach but not in a way that would intimidate me (guess those mths of personal training helps!)  We take turns sun tanning and playing in calm tides and it was a blast!

I read about this Haiti restaurant on a website and decided to give it a try.  Oh My God, how perfect the place is!  Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful wall painting and tasteful haiti art everywhere in the restaurant, and it doesn~t hurt to have friendly customers who come here frequently sitting next to you.  Yves had the ox tail stew and i had the grouper in lime sauce and gosh the food so fresh and refreshing!  Their fruit punch was some of the best i´ve had!

So we left Miami full and satisfied.
