We have some great pics of our travels so far...but can not upload from our accomodation so please be patient and check updates as we write!

So, as the title states, thank goodness it's raining today, because Sarah and I agreed that we had one beer stein and shnitzel too many last night and would have felt really guilty doing as little as we did today had it not been raining .  George our waiter at the HB Haus took good care of us in refilling our brew, but unfortunately was not available this morning to help with the repercussions of a day in the life of a german( i.e. Pretzels, beer and shnitzel).

Scott was more prepared than us and had a Plan B that he was ready to implement given the bad weather and our unfortunate condition.

We woke late but in search of food, and were extremely disappointed in the fact that we had missed breakfast.  Sarah's drunk planning from last night included inviting a fellow canadian traveler, Scott, on our planned journey to the infamous Disney castle and Garmisch.  Sarah also thought we would be rested and ready to depart at 730 a.m. We woke up in time to tell Scott that we were in no condition to go- not to mention it was 45 degrees and raining. We told Scott we would meet him around noon and see if there was anything more local ( and warm and dry) that we could do today. Scott later admitted that after seeing us at the Brewhuas the night before, he predicted a 20 percent chance we would be even joining him at all so atleast we were somewhat ahead of the game there.

We woke up ( again) and found Scott waiting for us in the lobby.  He was more prepared than us and had a Plan B that he was ready to implement given the bad weather and our unfortunate condition. So where better to go when hungover than the most depressing place in Munich, the concentration camp at Dachau.  We had the opportunity to stop at the central train station and load up on all sorts of german carbs and Scott was scared of our feeding frenzy consisting of lots of breads, cheese and sweets.

The concentration camp was ,as expected, very sad and depressing.  We stayed an hour ( long enough to get dry) and headed back to our hostel where we did laundry and slept most of the day.  We woke up and walked across the street for some dinner.  We had "meatballs" and "potato pancakes."  They were delicious but Sarah would not let us order a strudel( The bluberry pancakes looked realllllllllly good) and is making us wait until tomorrow- although  in my opinion, a german dessert would be the perfect ending to The Worst Day of Eating in Munich.  But the night is young so we will keep you posted on that. Tomorröw we are heading to Heidelberg and Cologne where we are hoping for some serious detox and spa treatment in Baden Baden and also a strudel ( Finally!!??) We are having a blast and love Munich. We can't wait to come back again someday.  Talk to you soon!

Sarah's horoscope today, 05/30... CANCER - As the world continues to speak through you in an increasingly psychic way, you notice yourself making left-to right-brain intuitive leaps in a single bound. It hardly makes sense. But that's the point, right?
