We traveled from Baguio to Alaminos City and took us almost 4 hours to reach the lucap wharf. The moment we arrived we headed straight to the Hundred Island National Park Center which was under the Limahong mini-shrine. The eager staff were already there waiting to assist us in our boat rentals, and island adventure.
There were no stores in any of the islands given the fragile ecosystem of the Park so we bought fish, sea foods and fruits at the local wet market in Alaminos coz’ we arrived late at the fish port where we could find fresh fish and sea food.

At first, we went on island hopping and got to tour into different islands such as the Quezon, Children’s, Governor’s etc. We had a day tour motorboat ride which includes taking tourists from the mainland to the island or islands of their choice and either waiting for them or fetching them from the islands back to the mainland, depending on their preference. We went to governors for our first hop and enjoyed the sights of the island’s view deck. It’s also the largest island in the Park, boasting sweeping views of the Park from its view decks and has a small cave, which though has notable stone formations, and is home to bats and swiftlets.

We settled for lunch and stayed overnight at Quezon Island. There was no electricity but overnighters were provided with battery-powered lighting. All rooms and lodges in the island are full and we had no choice but to rent a tent which was even more exciting I guess.
The next day was really fantastic as we saw the sun rose and enjoyed the clear water in Quezon Island. Not so long that we asked our boat man to bring us to the giant clam and coral garden for snorkeling in not so distant from Quezon Island.

We really had a wonderful time in the island, this is truly the place where you can enjoy grilling, savor the delectable seafood, lie in the sand, take in the salty breeze and swim to your heart’s content. And certainly, we didn’t pass up the chance to snorkel and dive in the Island’s azure water and see its thriving coral and giant clam garden!
This island is indeed an oasis for single, family and big group vacationers!!
