One of my favorite cities!  WOW!  I love Nice, love it! Its a slow paced beach town with nightlife.  Who could ask for more?!?

I arrived at 10pm Sunday night, hungry.  Due to the time change I was hoping to find a place I could eat while watching some American Football.  So I headed over to Ma Nolan's Pub.  I walk in at 10:30pm and the place is PACKED!  10:30pm on a Sunday night and it is packed!  The Bears/Chargers game is on one of their 5 screens a band is playing in the background (the guitarist looked eerily like Jeff), and people are drinking everywhere.  So I ordered up a veggie burger and frittes and a pint and started to watch the game.  Next thing you know Im doing Sambuca shots with these French dudes and the bartender.  After this I meet Dave and his buddies who are from Canada and Carmel and Catherine from Ireland.  We proceed to do more shots (ok ok, everyone knows I instigated this - but I keep telling Carmel its her fault).  At 3am we are thrown out of the bar and I can barely walk!   I literally stagger home - although I find out the next day the crew ended up at another late night bar!  I definitely wouldve hurled if I ended up there.

The next day I crawl down to the beach to get my tan on.  Love it!  I go in the water which is cold, but refreshing.  And the waves toss me about like Im a rag doll!  And when I say toss, I mean it!  Its impossible to stand up, barely possible to swim but its fun.  Fun like you were 8 yrs old again playing at the beach. I am laughing so hard I nearly drown and all the people around me are laughing and splashing too!  I finally get back to shore and lay down, exhausted.  After I get home I take off my trunks and what do I find, but rocks everywhere!  Some of you are probably wondering how I didnt notice them - and believe me, I am wondering the same thing!

The next night I go out to Wayne's Pub.  It is an instant party!  I head over with Lakeisha who is visiting Nice from Palo Alto.  We meet Texas girls, French and Italian guys and the drinking continues.  The band is rocking playing covers of all the popular music.  Its of course super hot in the bar.  I head home again highly buzzed and glistening (ok, thats sweating but hey it sounds nicer doesnt it?).

Beach again the next day and then back to Ma Nolan's and Wayne's Pub the next night.  Carmel and Catherine meet up with me that evening after taking the prior evening off (they were too hungover to go out!).  An American out drinking Irish women!  No one will believe it.

FInal night I head over to Thor's Pub and meet Yvan and Frederic who are locals.  Frederic parties hard and Yvan drinks it up.  I tell myself they can only do this because they weren't out the past 3 straight nights, but who am I kidding - I'm getting old!

I leave super tan but dont take the rocks with me.  Maybe someone else wants to play with them ;-)
