After a long 13 hour plane ride and a need to douse our shoes in disinfectant at the Biodefense Station in Auckland's customs (yes they smelt that bad), we were in another continent.
Auckland seems like a city that wants to be cool and we were pretty happy to play along as willing tourists. The 1st thing we did was totally rearrange our trip so we could be back in Auckland next Tuesday for Groove Armada's 1st gig on their new tour (get in!!!). Then after a quick wander round the jet lag got the better of us and lots of napping was done.

We did however make it up the Skytower which is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere don't you know for another vertigo challenging session....we will conquer it. After prising me (Nick) away from the walls and taking the customary pictures we headed off to Minus 5, an ice bar, for a much needed vodka cocktail.
Soon though the jet lag was kicking in again and Marissa was starting to feel very rough......that pesky cold, Mothers, seems to have got this far! So time for much needed sleep.

This morning I picked up our trusty steed for the next month, a lovely Nissan Bluebird, who we then rode off towards Waitamo for our 1st stop. There we hope to see some Glowworms and I hope to get very wet doing some Tubing and Black water rafting!!!
Bring it on!
