So I arrived in Dublin again yesterday later afternoon.  I took a 3 hour bus trip from Galway to here, and it was quite and comfortable, much better than Greyhound.  Anyways, I finally found my hostel (again street signs are difficult to find and sometimes don't exist).  I checked in and went on the Luas (ground light rail thing).  It was a nice experience, I wish we had something like this in the lower mainland, well maybe someday.  Did I mention it wasn't raining!  I went to the Guinness factory to pick up a few souvenirs and then made my way back to the hostel.  It was a nice walk, but I really think my feet are paying for it today.  I am very excited that my next 4 days will be less "go, go, go" and much more laid back.  So getting back to Dublin.  I then went to my room and read for a bit, after speaking with another traveller.  She was on vacation from Sweden.  We got to talking about the EU and I was asking her a bunch of quesitons, which some answers were to my surprise.  So it was a nice conversation, then I went to bed.  I woke up to the wonderful weather in Ireland (you guessed it, rain!).  I got some breakfast and made my way to the main shopping areas on this side of the river.  It was interesting to see all the people going about their day.  But probably the most interesting sale going on was a department store called Dunnes had opened a new store, so absolutely everything was half price.  It was a complete zoo, I found a few articles I wanted to try on, but there was no where to do so, so I left with nothing, as I couldn't very well return them.  After which, I made my way back to this internet cafe, to dry out before I head back to the airport to go back to Scotland.

I did enjoy Ireland, and I am happy I came, I would have to say that I don't think I will come back because I really have no historic connection here and a lot of what Ireland boast about, such as green mountains, national parks, etc, we have a lot of that in Canada, just a little newer (the mountains aren't as rounded and well used.).  The people are much nicer outside of Dublin, but I think that is the case with all major cities in the world.  I had hoped the weather was going to be much better, which was a bit of a drag and probably didn't make my experience that much better.  I really felt like I was back in Vancouver during the winter.  To end this leg of my trip, I will say goodbye to Ireland, and I wish it all the best in the future.

All ages use cellphones, even the seniors of the day!

Something I forgot to mention, and have noticed in all my travels throughout Ireland.  3 things.  1. All ages use cellphones, even the seniors of the day are using them.  It was the strangest thing to see.  2. Everybody texts, everybody!  It seems to be such a regular thing that I was watching a commercial and they said if you sign with their company you will get free texts for life!  3.  Not many, if any at all, use the vibrate option on their cellphone.  Everybody's cellphone is going off, and not in a lower ring either, very loud.  It is actually quite a different experience.  Well those are the 3 things I just had to mention.
