Last night I walked around Sidi Bou Said again.

I really like that place. So relaxing.

- I sipped my warm shot glass sized pine nut tea; FINALLY mastered the art of eating the pine nuts before the liquid was complete,

-I wore a stringed necklace of jasmine flowers, bought  from one of the constant sellers carrying baskets laid with these flowers,  i smelt the fragrance constantly,adding to the beauty and aroma of the place.

-I smoked apple chicha professionally, resting it under my arm

- and I talked philosophy, theology and the details of lifes beauty and pain

All from the famous coffee shop perched above it all; with such a sight. I am now a habituated Tunisian local.

I walked through the old streets of white washed buildings once more admiring the details of the electric blue against teh white, the magenta flowers which crept over teh fences, the green eucalyptus trees, the blue waters. Colours all so vivid against the white. Great veiws of the city and the harbour at twilight. I ate my Ftira (round fried version of a sugared donut; delicious!!!)

An Old Lady perched on a step was drawing henna tattoos, I got her to draw it on my hand; her art was swift and intricate she finished by sprinkling glittter over the design with the only rule that i dont wash my hand until the following morning, i was protective of the paint as i later walkde around La LaKe, where we had delicious dinner in this gianourmous open court yard fillde with tables open resturaunt extending 50m long and families sitting around for a meal children playing football on the pavement a veiz of the lake the fair across the road and first class seats to see the BIG airplanes decend only metres above us,

Later I slept; waking the next morning to find henna patterns all over my leg, my other hand and on my face, unfortunatly all of which cannot be washed off.
