second city.

stand-up comedy at it's best! second city is a very small theatre close to downtown toronto. very nice and cozy place. the tickets were suprisingly cheap for such an event. it was $12 regular and $6 for students. my isic student card works really well here. the only other time i was able to use it was in the art gallery in boston. so anyways...second city is a group of very famous stand-up comedians, who perform live on stage. it's pretty much just series of short funny plays. the show was about 2 hours long and for the last 30 minutes or so they did some improvisation. at some point i just startd laughing so hard that marina had to hold my head so i'd stop.

California Dreaming

musical. kevin's parents invited us all to join them. there was an hour and a half long buffet before the show. deserts were unbelievably good. i can still picture the huge straberry covered with chocolate. the musical itself was pretty much a course of the history of california music. all the famous bands beginning with the 70s and coming up to our days that were popular in california.

high park

woke up around 12 pm, found nobody at home and decided to go for a walk. luckily the weather wasn't as cold as before, so just about -5C or so. high park is a very popular place in toronto and i'm sure that there's really something spcial about it, but not in winter time at least. well i enjoyed the small long streets that came all along near the park.
