This is a place Deb had wanted to see since high school. Started off with a bus trip to the Sleeping Buddha Temple which was something else. Hard to imagine such a thing being built. The thing that got us was the eyes on the Sleeping Buddha's Guardian statue. This small gold leave figurine had the most realistic eyes that it was quite freaky.

After a short break and watching the cheeky monkeys at play we jumped back on the bus to complete the trip to Phang Nga Bay.

On arriving we jump into our long tail boat. Having never seen one before this I was fascinated. With the weather closing in we headed out into the bay checking out the limestone caves and inlets were great. The actual "James Bond" Island was more crowded than expected with small vending stalls set up on the beach trying to peddle their wares.

On the way back we passed by the floating village which was unlike anything we had seen and was hard to imagine living such as this.

After arriving back small souvenir plates were available for purchase which although cheesy we felt obliged to buy.

The bus ride home was enjoyed in airconditioning whilst watching the old James Bond Movie and having a sleep.
