I arrived in LA nearly a week ago now and in that time I’ve familiarized myself with places I loved to go from last year. The weather here is great for this time of year, 75F roughly which is such a nice change to the winter frost that was setting in when I left England.

What have I been up to?…

Went to see a Chinese Lantern Festival (see my pics) it was incredible all the intricacy and attention to detail, just looked fantastic. Then there was an hour-long performance with the weirdest acrobatics that I have ever seen (a young girl spinning tables on here feet, contortionists pulling themselves through barrels etc.). Don’t quite understand the Pandas but hopefully you’ll appreciate my pictures Bert!

And oh the food here!! It’s GOOD!! Jens and I went for a proper American-style diner breakfast, which was more than I could eat, but a great experience. It felt like just from an American movie! We also took some shots of LA buildings, I’d love to take credit for the photography skills but that’s all Jens handy work!

Been partying on the Sunset Strip (Sunset Blvd) a couple of nights…it’s pricey but the cocktails are so good and locals are entertaining! Am still recovering from last night, too many margaritas! Went to the Cheesecake Factory with the girlies this morning to cure the hangover, have a look at how we demolished the delicious cheesecakes!

Well that’s the start of my big adventure – exciting but I’m also finding it a little daunting but definitely getting easier to meet people as people are so friendly which helps (some too friendly which doesn’t always help!)

I’m off to Hollywood for two nights (been staying in West Hollywood which is the trendy area for 6 nights). I’ve heard Johnny Depp's in town so I’m on a mission to find him! I’ll keep the next entries shorter I promise!
