Today was Xmas Eve, I got woken up by a strange 61 number on my mobile, it was Nghi. Someone who I could call my Cousin they were having a house party. It was 9pm Xmas Eve in Australia and it was 3am Xmas Eve in Canada. Although I was asleep and it took me 5 minutes of talking to find out who that familiar voice was. I was thrilled to say the least that I got a phone call from back home, it seemed like you guys were drunk and having a blast. Then the phone got past to my brother, then my sister then my mum and went around the circle. All I can say is I want to know how much that bill would have costed.

Anyhow I went back to bed after that chat, but Xmas eve in Canada wasn't really that exciting, nothing was happening, no one was going out, it was a tradition to sleep and get up bright and early for a family xmas day.

Then the next day came, I got woken up at 9am with people screaming around residence I woke up went downstairs peeped outside the window and OMG, all the aussies were awake running around in board shorts and thongs and carrying a can of Canadian Beer in their hands knocking on everyones door, it was like 4 degrees but nobody cared. It was KAOS and it was an excited Xmas for everyone. Although it wasn't very much of a white xmas that everyone had hoped for so couches were soon dragged out from each of their houses to make a little comfy circle to celebrate Xmas. After I took a shower and got changed I hopped down and joined everyone with a can of beer in my hand and Jeans folded up to look like shorts and just my thin black jacket. It was cold, but the aussies had to have xmas the aussie way. Pretending it to be 30 degrees and all. The footy was out the flag was hung up, not to mention there were a few Kiwi's around and some did end up playing rugby but it surely did feel like a good Australia day. In some different weather. People were running around and people in other peoples houses ripping presents that they bought for each other. It was a fun xmas with everyone here. Music was blasted with speakers from the doorstep of one the houses and it was not long after that Campus Security came around in their truck and uniform on. This was when everyone started grabbing their beers and running in doors. But all they said was make sure you clean up the mess and put the couches back in when you are finished. It was a day that Campus Security was lenient about drinking outside and blasting loud music too distortion. I finally took my blow up Kangaroo icon out to enjoy the xmas but it didn't take long before I had to take him back inside the house. He had some moments in pictures and getting abused but when we were playing football, the footy had been caught up in a tree and shaking the tree wouldn't release the ball so Kanga was sitting on the Couch and Chris decide to throw a full can of beer at the football which clipped it and then went coming right down and straight through my Kangaroo and it bursted through it's leg and ended up in its tail. The Kangaroo had died, it didn't even last the hour. So I have to try and glue it back up together.

I was invited over to Penny, Vicki, Lucy and Monica's house with a whole bunch of other people with one exception to bring a meal along. It was meant to be for lunch but food wasn't ready until 4pm. Everyone else was cooking gourmet food, like Baked Chicken Drums and salad and fried rice and Pasties but my contribution was oven chicken nuggets. Yep 20 minutes in the oven flipping them once. Thats all it took for me and Since 4pm was the lunch. I couldn't hold out so I ate half of the chicken nuggets. But it was a great meal. Soon after 5pm. Chelsea came to pick Rob, Tess,Kam(Tess's bf) and I up to go to her house for a real Canadian Dinner. Since we ate at 4pm most of us were full. And we ate soon after 6pm. Chelsea's house was decked out with xmas lights and a real xmas tree in her living room decorated nicely. We meet her family and drank a traditional Butter Chocolate Rum drink that she only makes for xmas. It was delicious. But what was more impressive was the dinner we ate. The table was full of food and a 22lb turkey. OMG it was massive, monsterous. I've never seen such a massive bird in my entire life. It was probably big enough to feed 50 starving kids in Africa. After dinner we had some more drinks and talked in the lounge about the different things about Canada and Australia and some of the things that have different names like Beanies and Toques. Then Chelsea drove us back to Mount Royal. Suprisingly enough parties were still going strong at Mount Royal so we ended up drinking a bit more before I hit the bed at 11pm. Drinking from 9am and finishing up at 11pm was a pretty fair effort for the people who made it that far. But there were rumours that people made it to the wee hours of the morning.
